Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a beautifully gentle yet powerful system of healing rediscovered in Japan over 100 years ago by Mikao Usui.
Reiki works on all levels of the self: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual It is non-invasive and complements all other therapies and medications.
Reiki restores the polarity and natural balance of the body, helps clear and energise the body's meridians and chakras, and encourages the body to heal itself.
Seichem (pronounced say-keem) works in the same way as Reiki, but the practitioner may also be working directly within the body's aura.
Seichem was rediscovered in Egypt in 1980 by Patrick Zeigler, and is reputedly one of the healing arts used in ancient Egypt.
Seichem incorporates the elemental energies of the earth (Reiki), water (Sophi-El), fire (Sakara), and air and spirit (Angeliclight).
Crystals are tools with which a practitioner can work with different levels of energies.
A crystal therapist may place crystals on or around the body, or even use a pendulum through the aura. This helps to release energies that have finished being useful, such as outdated beliefs, emotions or overactive mental activity.
Treatments are carried out with the client lying down fully clothed. We are working with different layers of your energy and this can be done with your clothes on.
You may be more comfortable, however, if you remove your shoes.
Jewellery does not have to be taken off, unless you are wearing (or carrying) lots of crystals, which may affect how we assess your energies.
